Our Review of Thomas Cook Holiday Money Service
Pros: What we like :
✓ Hassle-free home delivery of travel money
✓ Home delivery is free, when you spend £500 or more online
Cons: What we like less:
✘ Generally not the most competitive exchange rates
Not usually! Many of the online travel money providers can offer better rates than in highstreet branches or bureau de changes. It pays to buy travel money online, even if you still prefer to collect your currency from a high street store.
This depends on the currency and also changes regularly, we always recommend you compare the best rates for currencies using our comparison tool so you can save on your travel money.
You can order a minimum of £100 worth of travel money online.
The maximum amount of travel money you can order online is £2,500.
You can pay for your travel money via bank transfer or debit or credit card.
Thomas Cook’s Holiday Money Service can have your travel money order shipped to your home address. They use Royal Mail Special Delivery which attempts to deliver to your chosen address before 1pm.
Alternatively you can order online and collect your travel money in store in your local Thomas Cook branch.
£5 delivery charge on orders up to £499.
Thomas Cook don’t currently advertise a buy-back service for unused currency. If you are looking to exchange money after your trip check out our comparison tool for getting the best buy-back rates.
